(A day without) My Bike

from Old Roads by Los Cobardes

/

lyrics

What do all the children want?
Each and every one?
Another place where you are
is where you’re not.
Someday you will return
to the place you were born
Riding one of those pretty hogs.
This is the time I’m riding my bike
Sometimes I hit with my knee.
Baby,
you know it’s the way that I want
Baby, let it be, please.
Sometimes I hit with my knee,
My life is the Road behind me.
This is the time I’m riding my bike,
It’s now or never, gonna die.
Gonna die, baby.
What all the children want,
each and every one
Another place where you are
is where you’re not.
Goddam boy, my bike is broke and
the day is very long
It’s the day I get the bus
and your life is a bore and
your wife is getting hot.
Sometimes I hit with my knee.
My life is the Road behind me.
Sometimes I hit with my knee,
You know it’s a temple for me.
This is the time I’m riding my bike
It’s now or never, gonna ride.
Gonna ride, baby.
Sometimes I hit with my knee.
My life is the Road behind me.
Sometimes I hit with my knee,
My bike is a temple for me.
